How often should my family visit Dr. Javeed?
For optimal oral health, visit Dr. Javeed twice a year for preventive checkups and cleanings. With regular preventive care, we hope to protect your smile from the most common oral health problems, including tooth decay and gum disease. If we find anything during your checkup, we can treat it quickly, preventing a more serious problem from developing.
Is cosmetic dentistry right for me?
If you’re unhappy with the way your smile looks, you may be a good candidate for cosmetic care. During a consultation appointment, Dr. Javeed would be happy to talk to you about your smile and your goals. Based on this conversation, we will create a treatment plan to change how your smile looks and improve your confidence.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a cosmetic braces system designed to help you straighten your teeth without metal brackets or wires. Invisalign uses clear trays instead, which you can remove to brush and floss. You can also enjoy any of your favorite foods and drinks with Invisalign.
Are dental implants right for me?
If you are missing one or more teeth, you may be a good candidate for dental implants. This restorative service can be combined with a crown, bridge, partial, or full denture to give patients a full, healthy smile that looks and feels natural. During a consultation, Dr. Javeed will evaluate your smile to determine whether implants are the right solution for you. If they’re not, we would be happy to help you find another solution.
What does a good home oral hygiene routine look like?
To keep your smile clean between appointments, follow this routine:
- Brush twice a day, or after every meal if possible
- Floss at least once a day
- Use an antibacterial or fluoride mouthwash
We also recommend that you avoid food and drinks high in sugar or carbohydrates, and drinks that are acidic or that will contribute to staining.
